Frugal Freebies Takes it on the Road -- For Free

Sept. 7, 2010 - PRLog -- Catherine hopes to see just how little her freebie-loving family can spend on a two-week road trip -- from Ontario to Florida in January -- but still see all the sights, stay in decent hotels and even eat three meals a day. She will bring three adults, two small dogs - and her laptop, iPod Touch and camcorder - to bring her 17,000+ fans along on their journey.

So it seemed like a good idea to print some U.S. coupons and do some U.S. freebie shopping on their trip -- maybe even grab a few free meals on the way. One reader said she would be so jealous if it doesn't cost Catherine a cent to travel!

That was a challenge, one that will take all of Catherine's organizational and freebie skills to make happen. Her research has begun for this new challenge. She is on the lookout for free travel info, great offers, freebies, coupons, deals, maybe even a sponsor or two.

Will she find free U.S. product coupons? Free gas coupons to fill up their tank? A great discount at a hotel/motel that accepts pets for free? A free meal at Bob Evans? Free admission to a baseball game? A free trail ride, or even a free round of golf?

Catherine will post and tweet each day about their journey, providing company names and addresses of the freebies she finds, what the family has seen and done, where and what they ate, where they stayed the night and how much the family spent each day.
