State wide survey proving Queenslanders do business best

Queenslanders have often argued we live in the best place in the country - and a state wide survey is quickly confirming locals rate the lifestyle and location of the sunshine state as the best in the Australia.

The survey, which only has six days to go, is the first of its kind to find out how Queensland companies are doing business and what their needs are to achieve a successful work/lifestyle balance.

The results are providing candid insights about what Queenslanders value about their businesses, their ultimate goals and how they rate our state against the rest of the country.

The initiative was generated by local businesswoman Vickie Johnson, who moved to the area from England in 2004. Her keen insight into emerging technologies saw her develop the survey to investigate the unique business environment and the geographical spread & lifestyle focus of its people.

Vickie is the owner of O3Office, a network of online bookable boardrooms and office spaces. Since the launch of the business late last year, she has seen an increase in the demand of business owners and staff wanting flexible work and training spaces.

“Whilst other surveys have sought to gain a better understanding of why people move, stay or leave here, my hope is that this online survey will get respondents from right across Queensland, and that the information will give a better picture of not only why Queenslanders think it is the best place to live and work, but also how advances in technology and a tough economy are affecting where and how they work to keep themselves afloat, whilst still enjoying the wonderful Queensland lifestyle.”

The survey will close on Saturday 11 September and the winner drawn randomly (who will receive a brand new Apple iPad) will be announced at the Women’s lifestyle expo at the Lake Kawana Community Centre. The survey results will be revealed shortly after.
