It can not be denied, the news has been inundated with celebrity topics, which have arguably become the top news stories. Recently, Dr. Leigh-Davis did not hesitate to draw from top news stories, when every news program from Bill O’Reilly, to CNN, to ABC World News, were debating Jennifer Aniston promoting single parenting by mothers; and supermodel Gisele Bundchen advocating for a law requiring six months of breastfeeding. “It is true, a recent episode of ‘The Real Deal’ had an emphasis on celebrity news. However, the topic was actually, ‘breaking news,’ and I was only discussing what were the top news stories,” Dr. Leigh-Davis explained. In fact, throughout the show, Dr. Leigh-Davis continuously questioned: “Why do we care what celebrities think?” Dr. Leigh-Davis continued, “I always try to bring important issues, such as the economy, in to the discussion. However, I will continue to base my topical focus on public demand. Yet, I agree, something should be done to refocus the public demand to more important topics, such as the economy and international issues.”
Dr. Leigh-Davis is a female law professor, retired attorney, and media personality best known for regularly appearing on numerous television news programs as a legal analyst and legal commentator.
