Medicare Supplement Options in the Post Health Care Reform Era to be Explained in Teleseminar

“Understanding Medicare Supplements and Affordable Medigap Plans” will be the focus of a teleseminar taking place at 3:00 PM Eastern on Tuesday, September 7, 2010. Registration for the event is at www.medigapadvisors.com/teleseminar.htm.

Sept. 3, 2010 - PRLog -- Fort Collins, Colorado, (PRWEB) September 3, 2010

Citing confusion people often have about Medicare supplement insurance either for themselves or for a loved one, Fred Adams, nationally recognized health insurance expert and Medigap specialist for Medigap Advisors, a leading national health insurance information provider and insurance agency advises consumers to start becoming familiar with Medicare at least a year before enrolling, especially in the wake of changes in Medicare due to the recent passage of health care reform legislation.

To help soon-to-be or current Medicare recipients and their loved ones understand their options, Adams is hosting a series of informative teleseminars followed by an open Q&A session.  The next one will be held at 3:00 PM Eastern on Tuesday, September 7, 2010.  Free registration may be requested at www.medigapadvisors.com/teleseminar.htm [Medigap Teleseminar].

“The critical point in a recipient’s enrollment process is the six month window of opportunity that starts at age 65 and ends at 65½”, said Adams.  He went on to say that it is only during that period that Medicare recipients can enroll in a Medicare supplement plan, also known as Medigap, with no questions asked about their prior medical history.

“The first step is to decide whether to go with the original Medicare or a Medicare Advantage plan, a subsidized private health insurance program.  If the recipient selects original Medicare, they may then choose among available Medigap plans.  And, of course, depending on their health history, enrolling in a Medigap plan during the six month open enrollment period could result in significant savings in insurance costs over the span of a lifetime”, he also stated.

About helping people arrive at a satisfying solution to a complex issue, Adams said, “I like to put things in a simplified and clear way so that the average person who knows little about their Medicare options can find them easy to understand.  Though sometimes they do not like the reality that they face, I feel good when I help someone sort through a myriad of options, and am able to help them find the best possible choices for their personal scenario.  Often times, the solution I come up with is something they would have never thought to do themselves, no matter how much they know, or how much homework they do.”

On Tuesday, September 7 at 3:00 PM Eastern, Adams will present a teleseminar in which he and will explain in concise detail how Medicare works and how to select the best options, whether they may be a Medicare Advantage plan or Medicare with supplemental insurance.  Adams’ presentation will be followed by an open Question and Answer session in which callers are invited to ask anything they would like to know pertaining to their Medicare options.  Participants can register for free at www.medigapadvisors.com/teleseminar.htm [Medigap Teleseminar] on a space available basis.

Sue Otto of Fort Lauderdale, FL said about the teleseminar presented by Mr. Adams that she attended recently: “You answered all of my questions.  This has all been completely mumbo jumbo to me, I understood none of it.  I did not know Part A from Part B, and now I do.  You have been a tremendous help!  I know I will have more questions going forward, and I will look to you to continue to give me the same great information you did today.  You made my day – thank you for explaining all this.”
