Bo Kauffmann, top producing REALTOR®, who works with Re/Max Performance Realty in Winnipeg, has issued his latest "Winnipeg Real Estate Market Update".
He reports that in the month of August, Winnipeg REALTORS® sold a total of 551 houses in Winnipeg. On August 31st, there were a total of 880 houses available at that time.
Of the 551 sold, 370 were in the price range of $250,000 and less, while 181 houses were over that price break.
Also, during August, there were 84 condominiums sold in Winnipeg, against which there were a total of 275 on the market at the end of the month.
"It all points to a slower month, which is to be expected during the summer", Bo reports. "I believe that if interest rates stay low, we will see a modest increase in sales during the later parts of September, followed by a fairly active October."

He adds that "Now may be an excellent time to buy a house or condo, BEFORE vacationing buyers return to the market, driving up prices and creating bidding wars once again."
