Reel Comedy announces the fall publications of a new pictorial book dedicated to one of the Three Stooges most memorable two-reel comedies, and three additional titles which celebrate the legacies of the slapstick trio and the other greatest movie comedy teams of all time.
The new pictorial book is entitled "Disorder in the Court: A Stooges Classic in Pictures." Lavishly illustrated, this unique book presents the Stooges classic short, “Disorder in the Court” (1936), from start to finish, using more than 60 images taken directly from the film. Each page captures the humor and essence of this cherished comedy classic. The first book is "Great Comedy Teams: A Pictorial Parade from Abbott and Costello to the Stooges." The “parade” features Abbott and Costello, Laurel and Hardy, The Marx Brothers, Martin and Lewis and the Three Stooges in nearly 50 images taken directly from their classic films and some memorable live TV shows on which they appeared, spanning nearly two decades.
The second book is a sequel to the first. It’s titled "Great Comedy Teams On TV: A Pictorial Parade from Abbott and Costello to the Stooges." It features the legendary Abbott and Costello, Burns and Allen, Laurel and Hardy, Martin and Lewis and the Three Stooges in more than 50 additional images, only this time from vintage TV show appearances from the late 1940s to the mid-1960s. Many of these first-time images come from rare kinescopes, the only surviving prints of live TV shows of this bygone period in early television history.
The third book is the lavishly-illustrated "Great Comedy Teams Quiz Book: From Abbott and Costello to the Stooges." Packed with more than 125 brain teasers, it also includes 30 photos and a bonus movie poster gallery.
The images contained in all four volumes have never-been-published, until now.
