Yankees Media Relations Director Jason Zillo recently recognized the unprecedented success of this year’s ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) fundraising drive, organized by Chris Scandaglia, a licensed account manager at the Steven Schneider Allstate Agency at 1254 Prospect Avenue in Brooklyn.
Scandaglia, whose grandfather Frank Gallinaro died of ALS in 1990, has helped raise over $18,000 for the ALS Association Greater NY Chapter over the last five years, including $7480 alone via this year’s charity dinner at Bocelli Ristorante in Staten Island, resulting in the awarding of access to the field at Yankee Stadium.
Scandaglia is already looking forward to next year’s fundraiser, and is working on securing an appearance by Derek Jeter.
