Scheduled to be held at The Beacon in Bletchley, from 12:30pm this event will also feature chart topping artists Phil Fearon & Galaxy and Glen Goldsmith and renouned artists The Mighty Dukes and Glynn Carelse. Events such as this provide an opportunity to showcase the talented acts within Milton Keynes and beyond, and by bringing artists that people are nostalgic about – local businesses benefit from the day's increased trade opportunities.
Currently at number 1 on the Reverbnation charts for Milton Keynes for almost 2 weeks, Sahara has has seen increasing success over the past few years. Starting in 2007 she has placed in semi-finalist and finalist position in the well-known UK Songwriting contest, each year beating more than 5000 other hopefuls! At the conclusion of the 2010 contest, Sahara was pleased to have reached her best position ever as 'finalist' in this year's contest with her song “Just Dance” - a song which has gained far-reaching interest, even being used by PUMA in their European promotion of their new fragrance in 2008. Another song “No Tomorrow” also earned her a nomination in the ISSA song writing contest in 2008.
Sahara said “I’m ecstatic that I was chosen as one of the performing artists at this event, and having the opportunity to share the stage with such great artists. Its going to be a fantastic end to the summer”.
