After many years of loyal service for bolt tightening specialists Tentec, Sales Director Phil Lightwood has announced his well-earned retirement in February 2011. Throughout his 20 years at Tentec, he has seen the company rise to become one of the world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of bolting solutions to a wide range of industries including petrochemical, power generation and more recently, the wind energy market.
As a result of Phil’s impending departure from the company, a number of changes at Board level have also been announced. From September 1st 2010, Managing Director, Adrian Pegler will assume the role of CEO, while Mike Gethings becomes Managing Director. Phil will be replaced as Sales Director by Roy Sheldon and Adrian Price is promoted to Internal Sales Manager. Paul Egginton and Dave Jones remain as Engineering Director and Operations Director, respectively.
“This is a very exciting for the company.” says Mike Gethings. “Despite the economic downturn, we have continued to increase sales and we have to thank Phil for all his hard work over the years to increase and maintain our presence in world markets. We wish him a peaceful and enjoyable retirement and the new team is looking forward to the new challenges ahead.”
