Sept. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- An e-learning company is bucking the economy by expanding and adding a new regional office in Sheffield, as well as recruiting a well-known expert to head up its new division. Marshall ACM’s new office will focus on universities’ need to provide effective health and safety for staff and students, while the London office will continue to focus on diversity and equality, workplace bullying and stress management, among others.

Marshall ACM specialises in supporting internal organisational issues by training employees via e-learning and is opening its new regional office in England’s ‘pioneering city of e-learning’.

The new Health and Safety (H&S) e-learning division will be headed up by Steve Wilkinson who joins Marshall ACM from Safety Media.  Reporting directly to David Marshall, CEO of Marshall ACM, Steve brings over 20 years of e-learning expertise specifically helping public and private sector organisations to identify and implement e-learning solutions.

A number of online health and safety courses are already in operation by Marshall ACM with leading UK universities and are being rolled out to the wider public sector where there is a real need to ensure staff and students understand the correct procedures to protect themselves and colleagues in their day to day environment.

“Some of the common themes we are seeing are organisations wishing to support employees and students in understanding the legislative requirements which ensures safety and harmony in the work place. These include training around stress and wellbeing, fire safety, risk management, manual handling of equipment, in addition to display screen equipment to ensure employees have the right equipment to work from their computers,” comments Steve Wilkinson.

“We are delighted to have Steve’s expertise within the health and safety arena to help support organisations nationwide with e-learning courses in this category,” says David Marshall, CEO, Marshall ACM. “His background and understanding of the issues organisations face when dealing with health and safety training is second to none and he will lead the way with bespoke courses for organisations in both the private and public sector.

“With Sheffield as the leading city in e-learning, the regional office for Marshall ACM is a natural fit for the business to set roots here”.

Marshall ACM delivers a managed e-learning service to over 220 organisations across the public and private sector in the UK and Republic of Ireland.  It can be contacted via its website www.marshallacm.co.uk, by calling  +44 (0)845 123 3909 or emailing contact@marshallacm.co.uk.
