Sept. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- Trenton is excited that the Kennedy Recreation Center is now home to the Motor City Metal Jackets. Hockey Day in Trenton is to celebrate the hockey community and introduce the community, families, friends, teams and hockey fans to the newest member of this hockey community; the Motor City Metal Jackets. The Metal Jackets play in the North American Hockey League and consist of players 16-20 looking to play NCAA Hockey.
The celebration begins with a 7pm game on Friday night benefiting the two local hockey associations; the Trenton Hockey Association and the Grosse Ile Hockey Association. Tickets are affordably fun for only $3. per person and all players wearing jerseys are admitted Free.
The public is invited out on Saturday to enjoy playing or watching the Metal Jackets players running skills/fun sessions for each level of hockey player from 11:30-1:30. The Metal Jackets players in full jersey will coach, official and sign autographs throughout the day. In addition, exciting special events will be happening off the ice for kids during the day. The City of Trenton will offer players hot dogs, chips, pop and special discounts. The fun continues when the Metal Jackets play against the Soo at 3PM.
