Seattle, WA – While the general economy is still facing difficulties, many startups and technology companies are experiencing significant growth and adding jobs. To help tech companies find the people they need, and to help job seekers who have a passion for tech and startups focus on those jobs, Seattle 2.0 created the region’s first job board focused on local tech and startup jobs. Seattle 2.0 is also partnering with intern specialists InternMatch. So whether a job seeker is looking for an entry level or an executive level position, they will find it on the new board. The board launches today at www.seattle20.com/
“Unlike most big job boards, Seattle 2.0’s readership is already tech focused and startup savvy. To ensure a good fit with our readers, Seattle 2.0’s job board will be exclusively focused on tech and startup companies in the Seattle metro area,” said Seattle 2.0 President Jennifer Cabala. “It will leverage our distribution assets to reach thousands of qualified candidates, through our website, our Twitter accounts, RSS, email newsletter and more.”
Job posts are free for non-profits, and for entrepreneurs looking for a co-founder. A 30-day post for a startup will cost $55 and for a tech company it will cost $85. Employers who don’t get at least two leads from the board will get a free 30 day extension.
Students and others looking to get a taste of startup life can also see the latest internship opportunities through a partnership with Seattle-based InternMatch.
“By partnering with Seattle 2.0 we hope to supply more technology companies and startups with top tier students and future employees, helping both sides grow,” said Andrew Maguire, Founder and CEO of InternMatch. “The Seattle 2.0 startup community is full of ambitious technology companies where students are eager to lend their skills, take on challenges and make a difference.”
“We invited startups to post and received a great response,” said Cabala. “Startups and recruiters know if they are looking for people passionate about startups and technology they’ll find them on Seattle 2.0.”
