WorkEnders, Inc., a Boynton Beach, Florida based company offering advanced business training classes to individuals in or entering the house cleaning industry. The company has been involved in the residential home cleaning business for more than 19 years. The founder, Gary Goranson, just conducted a survey among several hundred house cleaning business owners across the United States. The survey asked how revenues compared year-to-date in 2010 with those during the same period in 2009. Here were the resultsto date:
37.8% - Substantially higher than last year
35.1% - Ahead of last year
13.5% - About the same as last year
5.4% - Slightly behind last year
2.7% - Substantially below last year
Clearly, and perhaps to the surprise of many people, the residential house cleaning industry is forging ahead in spite of the current economic conditions. In fact, respondents in the first categoroy (substantially higher than last year) reported sales increases of 50% to 468% in 2010 versus 2009. Of course, it's one thing to go from $100,000 to $150,000. But we're talkinsome healthy increases like $200,000 and more over the same 8 month year-to-year period.
Goranson says the industry has come a long way since he founded WorkEnders, Inc. in July of 1991.
