Haus Of Swag Launches Its New Website And Collection - Fashionable Graphic Tees & Accessories

Sept. 1, 2010 - PRLog -- “The idea came from a literal dream;  I woke up and sketched the things that I witnessed in my dream onto a pad and kept thinking to myself, if you have something to say, put it on a t-shirt – and so it began”, said Toni Scott Grant, owner and designer of Haus of Swag. “Our theory is that we dream and create our own realities and we wanted this replicated in our ability to convey a message with something as common as a t-shirt – an essential piece of clothing that every single person owns, yet ours are so good for your fashion soul”, says Toni.
Grant is neither a stranger to retail nor to what women obsess over. She has owned and operated an online women’s boutique based in Houston for over 5 years. In addition to this, she spent 7 years in NYC as a costume and prop stylist and she has worked with some of the best in the fashion business. “I started to think about women who couldn’t necessarily afford a glamour gown or high end fashion must-haves. Why not give her the same opportunity to feel as stylish by designing these images that look exactly like what she’d want to wear or say, in a fresh and bold t-shirt. We love being glamorous, fashionable and multi-faceted, yet often times this is not what is being projected with regard to our image. Hey, sisters are doing it for themselves so we definitely wanted that feisty independence represented”, quips Grant.
   Presently, the website offers a collection of fashionable t-shirts with various graphics, designs and phrasing made from cotton and organic fabrics. The accessory line will launch in Fall/Winter 2010. Retail prices range from $32-$58. Haus of Swag is a socially conscious brand and they’re proud to have a resource link on their website titled, “Giving Is In Vogue” which directs individuals to a number of charities that focus on women and children’s causes across the globe. “If you reach and give back, it makes moving progressively forward that much easier – you just want others to feel good, no matter their circumstances”, says Grant.


Toni Scott Grant is an entrepreneur, celebrity fashion costumer, philanthropist and writer. Toni most recently appeared in the Harper Collins book titled, “The Mocha Manual to Turning Your Passion into Profit” where her personal success story was chronicled.  Earlier in her career, Scott Grant spent 7 years in NYC as a fashion and prop stylist for TV, film and print working with some of Hollywood and Hip-Hop’s elite.  Grant worked for the ‘easel’  brand clothing company, a NY based clothing line, most noted for their fashionable knits and woven’s, as a publicity and showroom assistant which allowed her to work with many magazine stylists and editors such as Essence, Glamour, InStyle, Vogue and WWD, as well as a diversified list of celebrity clientele. Grant studied Fashion Merchandise and Management at the Fashion Institute of Technology. She is founder and CEO of scottphree.com, an online women’s fashion boutique.
