Phoenix Computer Repair Company Extends Cat Food Drive

Aug. 31, 2010 - PRLog -- Panther TEK, a computer repair company located in Phoenix has extended it's cat and kitten food drive to help out Arizona Safe Haven For Animals until the end of the year, or until 2 tons of food is collected, whichever comes first.

"The goal was to collect 2 tons of cat and kitten food in 1 month to help out Safe Haven. It was a huge goal but sometimes in order to reach it more time is needed. No matter how long it takes, I'll stick with it until the 2 tons is collected," said Panther TEK's owner Nohl Rosen.

Rosen started the food drive in order to feed the many cats and kittens in AZSFHA's care. The non-profit, no-kill organization like many in the Phoenix metro area have taken in a lot of cats and kittens and have reached capacity. Rosen, a cat lover saw fit to help when he saw that many small animal rescue groups are constantly struggling to feed the cats they take in and are now waiting to be adopted.

"No cat should have to go hungry and the smaller animal rescue groups often spend their own money to care for them.  Besides vet visits and giving them a place to stay until they're adopted, food is one of the biggest expenses these organizations face. Many times it's the volunteers that help pay for the food to feed the cats, despite some donations from the public. Hopefully the cat and kitten food we collect will make life a little easier for Safe Haven," Rosen added.

For those who wish to donate to the cat and kitten food drive there are two drop off points in the Valley. The first is at the Scottsdale Cat Clinic located at 4002 N. Miller Rd, Suite # 100 in Scottsdale and the North Phoenix Chamber office located at 12601 North Cave Creek Rd. Suite #104 in Phoenix.
