Raleigh Eye Center, a well-known leader in refractive surgery, has launched a new website dedicated to providing information on LASIK & PRK. The new website is one of the many changes the facility has implemented this summer to provide patients with exceptional care in a state of the art facility.
“We wanted our patients to have an easier time navigating our website. We felt that by separating the refractive business website from the comprehensive „Raleigh Eye Center‟ site, we create a platform for providing the most up-to-date information to our patients in an easily digestible format” says James Kiley, MD, co-founder and refractive surgeon at Raleigh Eye Center.
The website isn‟t the only thing that is new to Raleigh Eye Center. The refractive business under the leadership of James Kiley, MD, has added social media to its many offerings. “Both our Facebook page and YouTube channel were created to help our patients better understand the LASIK process. Our goal was to create a place where patients and prospective patients could go to discuss their experience with one another and ask questions of the Raleigh Eye Center staff. ” says Kelley Malin, Refractive Coordinator at Raleigh Eye Center.
“There is an abundance of confusing and sometimes misleading information floating around the internet” says Kiley, “it is very important to us to provide the public with unbiased, accurate information on all options that are available in refractive surgery.”
Dr. Kiley is a surgeon who believes that by providing the public with information in a variety of formats, he will help pave the way to guiding his patients to becoming more proactive in their health care planning. “People want to have their questions answered, but are often afraid of sounding naïve or sadly, are not given enough time to ask” says Kiley “We want to change this.”
