Celebrating the launch of their Vendor Management Services, the company is looking for tales of the inept, bizarre and painfully long calls to helpdesks and support centres of any service. Members of the business community are being urged to share their worst calls on the company’s website onlinecomputing.co.uk, where the visitors can vote for the best submission. The three highest rated worst calls will win six, three or one months of free Vendor Management Services.

And submissions have already started. William Fox-Staeton, PR & Marketing Manager comments: “Every person has at least one bad support call story - it’s that one hot topic that can make the blood boil, and the accounts we’ve received range from bad to hilarious - One woman had to close her deceased father’s credit card account as the executor of his estate. The call centre refused to cancel it until they had spoken to her father – it was a long call!” Due to the nature of the prize, On Line Computing wants the public to judge who should get the free Vendor Management Services (VMS): Fox-Staeton continues; “It’s a pretty cool package where we’ll effectively take a huge headache away for six months, giving your staff a lot more time. We’re confident visitors to our website will judge who is most in need of a break from it, and could do with VMS.” Runners up will also receive a prize – “Some of the submissions we’ve had have been laugh out loud and should definitely go on a t-shirt if they don’t win the grand prize.”
