ETL Elektrotechnik: rapid production step-up

Aug. 29, 2010 - PRLog -- .With the purchase of a JUKI KE-2070, ETL Elektrotechnik Lauter GmbH in-creased productivity and reacted to the rapid growth they experienced during the past few months.

The decision to extend the existing line was made at very short notice. The machine was ordered on a Tuesday afternoon, delivered on the Fri-day afternoon then integrated into the existing line and was ready for production on Saturday afternoon. „Especially with the present market situation, flexibility is of enormous importance.

In order to enable our customers to fulfill the growing order volumes we do our best to ship machines as fast as possible and release them into production," sais Jürg Schüpbach, President of Juki Automation Sys-tems Europe.

With the purchase of the new machine, Lauter could massively increase the line's throughput. Installation was done on a Saturday because ETL could not afford to have any production interruption. „Everything's running! And it’s running well; the lines cycle time was reduced from 2.3 to 1.2 minutes with the first production run and thus our expectations have been far exceeded. In spite of the great efforts necessary for the changeover the line was up and running again very quickly," says Marc Lauter of ETL Elektrotechnik Lauter GmbH.

ETL Elektrotechnik was founded in 1979. Ten years later the first JUKI SMD line was put into operation. Presently the company is using the fourth generation of JUKI machines in three lines, and produces highly sophisticated boards for in-dustrial applications. From the very start ETL Elektrotechnik focused on 100% customer satisfaction.

This is reached with, amongst other things, a continually high quality standard created by using state-of-the-art production equipment and technologies. „We are very pleased that we were able to help a long-term customer so quickly to cover his immensely increased demands." Jürg Schüp-bach adds.
