The decision to extend the existing line was made at very short notice. The machine was ordered on a Tuesday afternoon, delivered on the Fri-day afternoon then integrated into the existing line and was ready for production on Saturday afternoon. „Especially with the present market situation, flexibility is of enormous importance.
In order to enable our customers to fulfill the growing order volumes we do our best to ship machines as fast as possible and release them into production,"
With the purchase of the new machine, Lauter could massively increase the line's throughput. Installation was done on a Saturday because ETL could not afford to have any production interruption. „Everything's running! And it’s running well; the lines cycle time was reduced from 2.3 to 1.2 minutes with the first production run and thus our expectations have been far exceeded. In spite of the great efforts necessary for the changeover the line was up and running again very quickly," says Marc Lauter of ETL Elektrotechnik Lauter GmbH.
ETL Elektrotechnik was founded in 1979. Ten years later the first JUKI SMD line was put into operation.
