NJ Studio Offers Calligraphy and Art Classes

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 29, 2010 - NEWTON- 24 Karat Designs Calligraphy Studio has announced its Fall 2010 season of classes and workshops, beginning September 11. All classes are for adult and teen beginner levels.

Calligraphy: Beginner's Boot Camp starts Saturday, September 11, from 9:30 to 11:30 am. This course runs for 8 weeks. Designed for the beginner, the italic alphabet is a popular introduction to calligraphy. In this step-by-step approach, students will learn lower case and upper case letters, numerals, punctuation, and spacing. Great for scrap bookers.

Introduction to Copperplate starts Saturday, September 11, from 2:00 to 4:15pm. This course runs for 8 weeks. Also designed for the beginner, students will learn this visually stunning script style, popularized in the 19th century, known as the “Golden Age of Penmanship”.

Other beginner one-day workshops include Decorated Letters, Saturday, November 20, and Divine Flourishes, Saturday, December 4.
