The Incubus film is a refreshing reinvention of the vampire genre with its focus on a new kind of dark and sexy yet cold creature that feeds off of human emotion and spirit by touch. What happens when a troupe of these mysterious energy stealers come to the quiet town of Spoon River? That is the focus of the full feature length independent dark romance film, written by performing arts prodigy Shayne Leighton and brought to the silver screen by executive producer Marcie Gorman.

The Incubus with its classic mythology, enchanting plot, seductive characters, haunting score and powerful original music thrilled audiences at its private screening and has amassed a devoted fan following even before its upcoming theatrical release. Fans of the film love that it was actually written by Shayne Leighton in her last year of high school, and marvel as she co-directed and stars in the movie as the red-haired raving beauty "Marnie Rose," the conflicted love interest of the incubus "Raphael", whose mystery is played convincingly by handsome leading man, Frantisek Mach. Shayne Leighton also performs many of the original songs of the film, which are already being aired on major radio stations, and proves herself to be a massive player in the entertainment industries, at a mere 19 years of age.

The Incubus introduces a whole new cast of young talents and heartthrobs, and the industry has taken notice. Alexandra Santanna as "Bianca", the darkly gorgeous and evil leader of the incubus clan, gives a tremendous performance and also sings on several of the soundtrack's songs. Michael C. Nouri makes his screen debut as the quirky, comic, and endearing "Johnny", best friend to Marnie, and shows his profound acting chops as the character with perhaps the greatest plot arc. Actors Donna Lisa as "Olivia", Melvin Lima as "Michael", and Amber Lynn Benson as "Chris" round out the young and talented cast and are joined by tour de force actor, James Pace, who plays the scary and abusive "Walter", the town pastor and uncle of Marnie Rose.

Fans of the Twilight film saga and The Vampire Diaries tv series are quickly becoming fans of The Incubus, and the theatrical debut is expected to break records in independent filmmaking. A S.M.ir.K Entertainment production, executive produced and co-directed by long time business mogul Marcie Gorman, the film was shot on location by cinematographer Robert Seher in South Florida over seven months and combines the best and brightest in South Florida filmmaking in a two-year total process from pre-production to release. 21 year-old prodigy composer Anthony Espina created the gorgeous and emotionally rich score. Music industry icons Ginger Salem (a.k.a. Ginger-Ly) and Steve Salem of Ginger-Ly Enterprises wrote, produced and arranged the original songs for the soundtrack, and their record label Guy and Lollipop Records in conjunction with S.M.ir.K. Entertainment, features Shayne Leighton and Alexandra Santanna as artists on their roster. Kurt Donath and Fabio W. Silver produced the film, and the expert editing was performed by William Szarka with amazing special effects by Eddie LeBron. Makeup is by Pedro Polanco, Susan Bigsby, and Theresa Morgan. Shayne Leighton's mother, renown costume designer Jayne Leighton, created the rich and dark costumes.
