Liberty University Press announced today, August 30, 2010 the release of a new book from their newest author, Olive Swan.
Apart from the raging spiritual battle facing Christians today, the church is also facing inward struggles such as the inability to effectively present the Gospel, the lack of a Biblical worldview, and a lifestyle that is nearly identical to the world. "When trials come, as believers expect that they should, can we rise above to become a witness for Christ?"
In New Creation, Esmerelda’s life changes drastically just after she sees her father off to work. Hours later, she is forced to find what is truly important. She does not walk through her new life alone. Forced to deal with a ubiquitous reporter, Sean, she doesn’t grovel in self-pity, but uses the experience to personify the verse “let your light shine before all men.”
Powerfully presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ logically and comprehensively, New Creation mingles a Biblical worldview in an engaging story about two people thrown together in what seems like chance, in actuality through God’s design. The book presents the human law that Sean and Esmerelda must deal with as a human shadow of a deeper, spiritual truth.
New Creation is the book for Christians that want the Gospel and basic Christian doctrines articulated through a short-story format. For unbelievers, New Creation is a non-threatening look at the good news of Jesus Christ. An easy, quick read from start to finish, Christians who enjoy relevant topics examined within the lens of a Biblical worldview should enjoy this book. Creation-
The war between Christians and the world won’t end until the Second Coming. Until then, New Creation is ammunition that any Christian will want in their arsenal.
