Aug. 26, 2010 - PRLog -- Renn started her career at the young age of 14, when she was spotted by a professional modelling scout in her hometown of Mississippi. Once booked, she was asked to lose a third of her body weight, after being told that she was too heavy to become a leading figure in the modelling world. After reassessing her diet, she went on the gain 70 pounds and re launched her career as a plus- size model. Renn now works for the infamous Ford Models.

She has gone on to appear on the cover of Harper's Bazaar, and has worked for magazines such as Vogue (International), Teen Vogue, Italian Elle, i-D, Vanity Fair and Glamour.

Renn's portfolio is extensive for fashion campaigns and her work includes Jean Paul Gaultier, Dolce & Gabbana, Saks Fifth Avenue, Mango and H&M. Gaultier personally requested her to walk his runway in 2006, while she has also walked for Chanel.

In 2009, Crystal Renn released a book 'Hungry: A Young Models' Story of Appetite, Ambition and the Ultimate Embrace of Curves.' She has gone on to become hugely successful on her own terms and is more then comfortable in her own skin.
