Aug. 26, 2010 - PRLog -- The spa at the Taj Palace Hotel has launched its new menu which has been designed to provide effective result driven treatments.
Although it is Indian themed, the spa, which bases its therapies on an ancient Eastern philosophy, borrows treatments from other cultures including Japan, Arabia and Europe.
These include the exotically named Japanese Yuzu which involves a wild berry body polish body scrub followed by a strawberry and cream wrap and a massage, and the Arabian White Musk which is a white mud wrap followed by a massage with Musk oil.

“We planned our menu by keeping in mind, not only the Indian concept but also, Eastern philosophies blended with highly popular modern European treatments such as the Hot Stone Therapy, Chocolate Addiction, Swedish and deep tissue massages” said recreation and spa manager, Ashna Ddhannak.

The new spa menu uses highly effective organic products containing natural ingredients such as white birch, soapberry, brown algae and Indian frankincense all designed to work synergistically to reduce oxidative stress.  The products used have been handpicked from India, USA and Italy specifically because they are revolutionary and results-oriented.

“Our primary motive when sourcing products was to have products with which we can make creative and innovative treatments and this we have done with our range of signature treatments like the Spice of Life - a spice salt scrub and massage with Spice oil and the Grape Vine - a scrub followed by a mask and ending with a relaxing Grape oil massage” said Ddhannak. “They are all products that make a remarkable visible difference to the skin in a single session”

The spa has retained a number of the classic treatments: Indian head massage, ear candling and reflexology and also offers a selection of spa packages as well as traditional beauty treatments. Spa guests also have full use of the Sauna, steam room and relaxation areas.

“Beauty in balance means that growing older is not something to be feared, but embraced” said Ddhannak. “What is to be prevented is premature aging and stresses to the skin and body”
