A & R is an independent consulting firm, which is geared towards helping independent musicians further their career in the music business. A & R’s mission is to aid independent musicians with marketing and exposure to help get their music out to the public and more importantly to music executives looking to discover the next big thing in the music industry.

It is no wonder that A&R featured Fat Opie as their Artist of the Month for August with the band gaining more and more attention in the USA with both their songs "New Orleans" and "Said + Done" being added to radio.

Fat Opie brings a unique line-up of instruments, cool twang and crafted melodies. Hailing from San Francisco, Scott Mickelson, Robin Hildebrant and Dave Tavel are the 3 talented members of the band. They began recording and touring in 1994 and they’ve gone on to release four amazing studio albums including their ambitious project “Airstream” with visionary producer Arjan McNamara. In 2003 the band took a break when lead guitarist and singer Scott Mickelson fell ill.
