Bridgeport Fittings extends corporate responsibility in support of three local organizations

Aug. 25, 2010 - PRLog -- STRATFORD, Conn. – Bridgeport Fittings, a leading supplier of quality fittings to the industrial, commercial and residential channels of the electrical industry, has focused its corporate support on three outstanding institutions in the region where the manufacturer is based: the United Way of Coastal Fairfield County in Westport, the Sterling House Community Center in Stratford and the Cardinal Shehan Center in Bridgeport.

•   Sterling House Community Center is dedicated to serving people of all ages, from the toddler to the senior adult, providing affordable social, educational and recreational activities that assist a positive and healthy development.
•   The Cardinal Shehan Center has a mission to enrich people’s lives through learning by offering a variety of activities that address the educational, recreational, cultural, and social needs of moderate and low-income families and young people.

Besides this corporate responsibility to customers and community, Bridgeport has a long record of commitment to environmental goals in minimizing the company’s environmental impact across a whole range of conservation, compliance and waste elimination initiatives. These activities were recently brought together under one, focused program called the “Green Stewardship Project.” The project calls for a more intensive “going green” commitment from every quarter – management, employees and partners – to take responsibility for their environmental impact.
