Aug. 25, 2010 - PRLog -- The most recent E-Skills bulletin shows advertised vacancies for qualified IT staff rose for the 3rd consecutive quarter, with the industry now needing around 86,000 IT professionals.  This is not a new phenomenon either, the IT industry has been struggling to recruit the qualified individuals needed, over the last few years.  As a result, advertised pay rates rose for both permanent and contract positions with increases of up to 9% occurring for a number of IT roles.

A previous report by the E-Skills Council for Business and IT in the UK showed that the technology workforce will grow four times faster than the general UK workforce.
In response to these reports the National IT Learning Centre has created new job specific courses with greater flexibility for the skills and qualifications that employers in the UK require. Offering courses designed to maximise employability in the IT sector and give students multiple career options from Entry Level to Master IT Professional, with no previous IT experience required.

They are also offering these new courses at a discounted rate, NITLC’s Managing Director Charles Oskwarek said “IT has always been an industry with higher earnings, greater job security and job satisfaction, and these reports confirm that even in today’s climate IT skills are invaluable for individuals looking for a brighter, more secure and long term future. To help encourage people into IT, and in order to fulfil the demand highlighted by e-skills UK, we are offering limited places at significantly reduced prices for one month only on a first come first served basis”.

The demand for IT courses is expected to go through the roof as a result of the news from e-skills, and the recent news that university places have also been cut which means more and more people are looking for industry valued IT qualifications that lead to IT jobs in the real world.

Mr Oskwarek continued “We pride ourselves in offering qualifications that lead to jobs, not qualifications for qualifications sake, we are not just here to offer IT Training, we are here to help people build a better quality of life for themselves”.
