Follow on Google News | Photographer of the Year 2010 - B+W Photography MagazineThe UK's Paul Coghlin has won the international B+W Photography Magazine’s Photographer of the Year 2010 competition and also the Digital Printer of the Year 2010.
By: Paul Coghlin Paul named his winning four-photograph B&W series for the Photographer Prize "Behind The Eyes". The intention of the series is to encourage the viewer to consider animal consciousness and what an animal may “think” or feel as it looks right back at the viewer. The Digital Printer prize was won by a single mesmerising portrait of a lion, also from Paul's Behind The Eyes series, called "Lion's Stare". All the winners’ work will be exhibited at Hooper’s Gallery in London between 3rd and 9th September, as well as the winners receiving their awards on the launch night on the 2nd. The monthly magazine will publish the winning images in an edition later this this year. # # # Paul is an international award-winning creative photographer Based in Suffolk, UK. He is an Associate member of the British Institute of Professional Photography. Paul has gained many international awards, including B+W Photography Magazine's Photographer of the Year 2010 and the Digital Printer, two awards in the major Px3 Paris competition and also nominated for the the BIPP's prestigious Peter Grugeon Award.
