Scottish Hills Recreational Club hosted the prestigious 29th Cary Invitational Swim Meet on Saturday, July 17th, 2010. 1025 swimmers from 26 club teams competed in the meet and Triangle Swim School was well represented with many athletes competing in a variety of events. Claire started taking lessons with TSS when she was 4 and has progressed to our popular ‘Swim Team Prep’ class. Tess Rodgers was part of the record setting foursome from the Scottish Hills 8 & Under girls free relay that established a new 2010 meet record with a time of 1 minute, 09.03 seconds. Tess and her siblings all take classes with Triangle Swim School. “TSS has taught my children beautiful stroke technique and as a result they are often asked if they swim year round. The Durham Summer Swim League held their Championship Meeting at TAC in Cary on Saturday, July 10th, 2010. 600 Swimmers from 16 clubs competed at this event. Adam Fullerton, age 16, from Woodcroft Team finished first place in the Boys 15-18 50 Yard Breaststroke. Adam recently took a couple private lessons with one of TSS’s senior instructors to improve his breaststroke time. He hadn’t dropped any time in over a year prior to lessons with TSS – he dropped 2 seconds and his final time was 28.76. “It was very exciting to see Adam finish first at the championship meet. He is only 16 years old and competing with boys 2 years older than he is. Great job Adam,” said Coach Matt Harr owner of Triangle Swim School.
