Kingston, New York - A Kingston Neighborhood Celebration is scheduled for Saturday, August 28, 2010. Held from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the YMCA park, the family day event will provide an opportunity for neighbors to relax and enjoy a summer celebration in the community.
Fun Family Event for the Community
With an eye on building a stronger community, local area business have banded together with various community groups and leaders to plan and organize the event. The family-friendly event will celebrate all that is good about Kingston; concentrating on good old fashioned fun. The afternoons various activities will include kids' neighborhood games, raffles, food, entertainment, a bouncy ride, arts and crafts, and more. The Neighborhood Celebration will also include an opportunity to view the Volunteer Fireman's Museum's antique fire engine.
Various activities for the Kingston Neighborhood Celebration have been sponsored by Sav-on Party Central, Dallas Hot Wieners II, the Kingston Police Benevolent Association, CSEA Kingston Unit, Kingston Neighborhood Watch, Gerald Burke, Alderman Hayes Clement, County Legislator Mike Madsen, the Boys and Girls Club and the YMCA.
