From Laid-off to “Launching an Empire” – Laura Denktash opens Balanced Rock Press with a Bang!

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 23, 2010 - It's been a busy time for entrepreneur Laura Denktash since she lost her corporate job as a quality manager back in March of 2009. A self-published cookbook author, she quickly determined it was time to begin marketing the book agressively, something that had eluded her while she was employed. She launched several websites during 2009 including http://www.therosediva.com, and http://www.cookbookcoach.com,  All the sites she created were related to cookbooks, writing, and publishing.

No newcomer to writing and marketing, Ms Denktash has 17 years of experience. She identified a need for a cookbook writing system, a cookbook advertising website , and an association for cookbook writers. All of this creativity was leading to what was percolating in the background - a publishing company.

According to Ms. Denktash, “The question she gets most often is, ‘How can I get my cookbook  published?’ With all the turmoil and change going on in the publishing industry, she decided to to take her writing coach business a step further and offer publishing to her clients. She saw her clients suffer rejection and wasted time submitting proposals to publishers, Yet, she believed in their projects, so why not publish them herself?

With her experience in internet  and social media marketing, Ms. Denktash now happily finds herself sitting on sixteen titles that are scheduled for publication. Balanced Rock Press has taken off with a bang! With new cllient interviews taking place weekly, Balanced Rock Press is a dream come true for Denktash. She is in her element and will take things even further next year when she attends the second annual Paris Cookbook Fair in March 2011. She has been personally invited to participate as a possible contributor for a break-out conference for cookbook authors at the fair by none other than its founder, Edouard Cointreau.  Denktash will take a select number of cookbook projects to the Paris Cookbook Fair for possible foreign rights sales.

Ms. Denktash is a passionate serial entrepreneur who is truly on the move. Her latest venture, Balanced Rock Press, is a growing independent publishing company located in the beautiful Sierra foothills of northern California. The company  publishes traditional books, eBooks and audio books. She has established a special division for eBooks called "Enbrightened eBooks."
