Endomorphs
This defines the body type of the larger people, the ones who have the buff arms, but shorter legs and arms than most people. Even though they're the ones that are most often overweight due to the slow metabolism, they're almost always the ones to become the best power lifters.
Mesomorphs
These are the real guys to envy because of their amazing athletic bodies. These people will gain muscle mass quite easily when joining the gym. they're never overweight, probably because their metabolisms are in tune to keep them that way as long as they're not eating too much.
Ectomorphs
These are the famous skinny people that have so much trouble gaining muscle mass, which is why bodybuilding isn't easy for them. Bodybuilders tend to refer to these guys as the hardgainers, because of the difficulty they have gaining mass. Most people find that these guys seem awkward.
You've obviously seen the use of the word metabolism quite frequently, and this is because it is your metabolism that converts part of the food you eat into energy and part of it to fat. The difference between fast and slow metabolisms is the slow ones store lots of fat while fast ones turn most of it into energy. Those with a slow metabolism will get muscle faster than the hardgainers with a fast metabolism.
If you're extremely thing, you should make sure that you choose a training plan that considers your fast metabolism. Your diet is going to have to be heartier and include more carbohydrates and proteins in your body so that your muscles grow. You're going to have to eat more food than your metabolism can handle, so that it stores it as fat, which can then be used to be converted into muscle.
Once you have control over your metabolism, you'll have an easier time gaining muscle. Then, you can continue as though you werent a hardgainer, and just a regular bodybuilder. If you exercise regularly, eat properly and rest in between workouts, you're muscles will develop, undoubtedly, and don't train extra hard just because you're a hardgainer. As long as you follow this simple regimen, you'll surely witness results.
