The Ponsenby Journals: Strange Stories from India & Other Places

Laugh-aloud, witty stories cleverly illustrate the ancient common origin of all cultures and religions.

Aug. 20, 2010 - PRLog -- In The Ponsenby Journals, Strange Stories from India & Other Places, author Rex Roxon takes us on a wacky, scary, and thought-provoking voyage around the world. Lt. Col. Ponsenby, a retired Indian Army medic, is our eyes and ears as he shares his observations by writing social and historical commentary. His journal includes words of wisdom that are delivered through the mouths of ostensible fools, and madcap adventures that rattle your nerves as much as they tickle your funny bone. Comical missionaries, eccentric doctors, and man-eating lions all introduce themselves as Lt. Col. Ponsenby travels through India, Africa, Borneo, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and Easter Island. And let’s not forget the eccentric Egyptologist who has a passion for the mysteries of the Nile River and a revelation about the antichrist. The Ponsenby Journals is a wild romp through distinctive viewpoints, absorbing history, and the bonds that unite all cultures and religions.

The Ponsenby Journals (ISBN: 978-1-60911-817-4) will be available on August 9, 2010 for $17.95 and can be ordered through the publisher’s website: http://www.strategicpublishinggroup.com/title/ThePonsenby...

“I see significant value in this interesting book that deals with the global issues that form its core subject.” –Katrina Stewart, Oxford University Press

About the Author: Rex Roxon is the pen name for two talented writers, Dr. Norm Williams and Rex Kearns. Dr. Williams is a science writer who has travelled widely and lived in many out of the way places in Africa and Asia, and in America. He has recently turned to fiction writing of humorous adventure novels and children’s stories. Rex Kearns trained as a teacher and taught extensively in numerous Australian Aboriginal communities. He has lived in Dharmsala, India, where he studied and practiced the Mahayana Buddhist Tradition. Also an artist, he discovered three diverse natural features whose combination apparently generates diverse world mythologies and their visual images, which premise lends itself to his writings.
