Mr. Jackson will also introduce his plans for purchasing the Brookdale Mall to help bring jobs back to Minnesota.

The Story
Blues historian, Ted Wilebski, of the recently closed Blues Saloon, located in Frogtown, Saint Paul, MN, was forced into an uphill battle through no fault of his own when the club's former landlord had its licenses revoked.

Another man, Donald Jackson, CEO of Poor No More, Inc., knows plenty about uphill battles.  Mr. Jackson has seen the demise of the Brookdale Shopping Mall in Brooklyn Center and desires to purchase the mall, refurbish it to include a multi-cultural community environment  in addition to retail shops, and to bring jobs back to Minnesota, especially to the Brooklyn Center community.

These two culturally different individuals met on a Saturday afternoon and are now making plans to bridge the gap between their cultures and bring a Blues Museum to the planned new mega mall, formerly known as Brookdale Center.

Mr. Jackson heard Mr. Wilebski's story on talk radio and called him for an interview for his television show Poor No More.  Mr. Jackson's show is a resource for people who are struggling to overcome loss, financial, or emotional, due to lost jobs or being forced out of business.

During the course of their discussion, Mr. Wilebski stated that while he has many Afro-American artists from all over the United States playing in his club, he noticed there aren't many Afro-Americans in the audience supporting theses artists and he wondered how he could increase the support of the Afro-American community for this great but seemingly dying type of music.  Mr. Jackson responded that it was a matter of education.  In his opinion, most Blacks that are not from the South view the Blues as sad music, music that takes them back to sad times, much like Country music.

The two agreed that something needed to be done to educate the community and get them excited, especially the younger generations about Blues culture. A Blues museum was considered to be developed in Brooklyn Center Minnesota.  The plans for the museum will be announced at Opening Night of Mr. Wilebski's Blues club.
