Fort Myers Orthopedic Shoe Store, Foot Solutions of Estero, Collecting Shoes for Soles4Souls

Aug. 19, 2010 - PRLog -- Fort Myers orthopedic shoe store, Foot Solutions of Estero, announced that, thanks in part to donations from the Southwest Florida community, the warehouses are now full at Matter of Trust, an ecological charity dedicated to assistance with oil spill clean-up efforts.  A few months ago, Foot Solutions of Estero designated their store as a drop-off point for needed supplies and monetary donations to help with clean-up efforts in the Gulf of Mexico, after the largest oil spill in our nation's history.  Collected supplies were then sent to Matter of Trust for deployment to needed areas.

“We had a great response, not only in our area, but at collection locations around the country,” said Chris Cole, owner of Foot Solutions of Estero.  “We are proud to announce that we have received word from Matter of Trust that the supply warehouses have been filled, and they are now directing efforts to the deployment of supplies and volunteer assignments.”

Foot Solutions is now focusing their philanthropic efforts towards another non-profit organization called Soles4Souls, a charitable organization that provides footwear to people in need worldwide.  Soles4Souls has recently committed to providing over 100,000 pairs of shoes to the victims of flooding in Pakistan.

"We feel that we’ve done all we can at this point to provide resources for the oil spill clean-up, so are now shifting our focus to other organizations that could use our help” said Cole.  “With the flooding and mudslides in Pakistan, Soles4Souls has an urgent need for donations of shoes for the thousands of people devastated by this disaster.  We are asking people in our community to stop by our location and bring in their gently used shoes to be donated to this cause.”
