VMI Gives Sneak Peek Of 2011 Honda Odyssey Concept At National Dealer Council Meeting

Aug. 18, 2010 - PRLog -- PHOENIX – August 18, 2010 – Vantage Mobility International (VMI), a leader in the manufacture and distribution of wheelchair accessible full-size and minivan conversions, announced today that its 2010 National Dealer Council Meeting, which took place on Wednesday, July 21, through Friday, July 23, in Akron, Ohio, included a sneak peek of its plans for the 2011 MY Honda Odyssey.  VMI’s Dealer Council received an exclusive first look at an exciting new concept with VMI’s Northstar and Summit conversions.  

“Our National Dealer Council Meeting was a tremendous step forward in building on VMI’s successes in 2010 and beyond,” said Doug Eaton, president of VMI.  “Working with council members one-on-one as well as in brainstorming sessions, allowed us to refine our plans with those who sell VMI products.  We explored how we can elevate our game to benefit our customers and dealers.”

VMI modeled its Select Dealer Council after the way Honda and its dealers work together.  VMI implemented similar methods and tactics that Honda currently uses during its meetings, including the format of the convention and the open communication exchange between VMI and its dealers.

The meeting included committee recommendations and a state-of-the-art iPad presentation from VMI executives.  Dealers also participated in a live survey for the first time in industry history that was conducted on their new Apple iPads, where results were shown in real time.

“We’re constantly innovating ways to stay at the forefront of our industry,” added Eaton.  “By implementing a live, anonymous survey on the iPads, we received immediate results on what dealers believe are critical issues in our industry.  This conference began with one goal in mind, to tap the expertise of our dealers so VMI can continue to provide the most quality-efficient and innovative products on the market.  We accomplished this goal.”  

Bill Koeblitz, inaugural dealer council president and owner of MobilityWorks, opened the meeting with a visionary speech and gave fellow members a tour of his Akron dealership.  During the Dealer Council session, Koeblitz was recognized for two accomplishments, his devoted service during the past three years and for achieving Highest Sales Volume in 2009.

“Working with VMI at each Dealer Council meeting has been a wonderful experience,” said Koeblitz.  “We’re pleased to be associated with VMI, which continues to pioneer products that our customers need.  They’ve done a great job incorporating dealer recommendations to make everyone more successful.”  

Dealers were also treated to a special presentation by a team from Google.  VMI has been working with Google for the past two years as part of its Internet Marketing Program (IMP), managed by Bob Lundin.  During the conference, Google gave Lundin an award and named him a Google Adwords Certified Partner.  The presentation gave dealers a glimpse into future projects Google is working on and how they can leverage Google tools to benefit their businesses.
