South east London printing company Superchrome has been awarded a contract by Endemol to print 3mm Foamex panels for its latest production Supersize v Superskinny which is currently being broadcast on TV. Superchrome was asked to make different sets of Foamex printing every week for the TV documentary series in which two extreme eaters - one very overweight and the other severely underweight - swap diets in an attempt to change the way they view food and their eating habits.
Superchrome got the Endemol contract because they specialise in high quality Foamex printing and hoardings for the film and advertising sector. Foamex is available in different thicknesses (1mm,3mm,5mm or 10mm), is exceptionally durable and can withstand thermal expansion. It is an excellent choice for lightweight panels. • Self adhesive - graphics for posters and hoardings are printed on self adhesive vinyl or laminated paper which can be mounted on MDF, foamex, or aluminium. The adhesive substrate can have an anti graffiti coating and if the hoardings are intended for long term use they can be covered with Perspex to protect them against damage from the elements.
• Direct printing – Posters and hoardings can be printed directly onto blue black paper, vinyl sheets or high quality Foamex
Foamex panels and hoardings for outdoor use are printed using waterproof, UV stable solvent inks to ensure their vibrant colours last longer. Printing is done in-house, to ensure they can meet the tight deadlines and deliver the fast turnaround times that advertising and filming clients demand.. Superchrome’
