Based on the life of William Andrew Cherry who visited Randsburg, Ca every summer weekend with his mother. Andy lost his father at the age of ten and his mother, then a teacher on a military base, made ends meet by painting and selling knick knacks at a small shop near the General Store in Randsburg, CA. Author Georgette Baker, documented the events of that summer of 1962, bringing the young Cherry to life and recreating a lost moment in time.
