Bit Miracle announces the release of LibTiff.Net 2.0

Aug. 17, 2010 - PRLog -- LibTiff.Net is free and open source development library for reading and writing TIFF images. The library is a version (port) of classic LibTiff library written using C# with a goal to provide application programming interface (API) that is very close to the classic one.

What’s new in LibTiff.Net 2.0:

- Silverlight support - LibTiff.Net can now be used in Silverlight applications. There is also Silverlight test application that can be used as a sample.
- Visual Studio 2010 support - Now Visual 2005, 2008 and 2010 can be used to build LibTiff.Net.
- Speed - Speed optimizations have been performed.
- Improved quality - New version fixes many bugs in library and utilities code.
- New utility - Tiff2Rgba program added to distribution. This application can be used to convert TIFF images to RGBA color space.
- Documenatation and samples - New version ships with greatly improved documentation and samples.
- More liberal license - Starting from version 2.0, LibTiff.Net is freely available for all uses under a BSD license.
