42 Telecom strengthens global positioning as leading messaging operator

Aug. 17, 2010 - PRLog -- Linkoping, August 17, 2010 – 42 Telecom, a leading Swedish mobile operator in the provisioning of messaging and SS7 signalling interconnect services in Europe, has announced the appointment of Angie Woon as Country Manager of the United Kingdom to lead the operator's expansion into one of Europe's largest texting nations. In her position, Woon would also assume the responsibilities of Global Sales and Marketing to lead its sales and marketing efforts in other emerging markets outside of Europe.

Bringing with her over 8 years of experience from the telecommunications, marketing and communication sectors, Woon will be responsible for the business direction and operations of the UK branch office. She is tasked with building a roadmap for the operator's continuous growth in various business sectors for its portfolio of new and existing products in A2P and P2P messaging. She will also undertake to develop a strategic global marketing positioning for the mobile operator.

Previously, Woon was Senior Business Development Manager for West Europe of one of Asia's pioneer messaging aggregators, Radius-ED (now known as Ice Corp). There, she laid the foundation for its transformation and expansion into European and global markets, gaining new sector clientele and increased profitability within 4 years before the buyout from Ice Corp.
