By: Compare Infobase Limited Well you have got a nice alternative, which is quite entertaining too. What better way than the Handcrafted Christmas Decorations! Here are methods for some easy to make handcrafted Christmas decoration ornaments: -by Twila Lenoir 1. Handcrafted Snowman Ornaments Materials Required * Cosmetic Cotton Rounds that are used to remove make-up * Toddler socks * Black and orange Fabric Paint * Thin Ribbon * Glue * Pin back or thread for a hanger * Fabric stiffener * Holiday trinket as an ornament in the hat Steps: * Place cotton rounds on wax paper or heat safe plate or tray. * Dab fabric stiffener on the front until it is wet and flat. * Turn over and dab the back. * Place the plate over the heater until the cotton rounds are hard and dry. * Cut the foot off the toddler socks, just above the heel. * The circular tube that is left will be the snowman's hat. * Glue the top of the sock to the cotton round, with the cut end up. * Tie a holiday ribbon on the hat. * With fabric paints, make two black "beady" eyes and five beads for the smile. * Add an orange carrot. Let it dry. * Glue a holiday trinket or a cute button on the hat. * Finally, glue a pin back to the back of the snowman or take some thread and attach it to the top of the hat to use as a Christmas tree trim or hang up as a Handcrafted Christmas decoration. 2. Handcrafted Smiley Snowflake Ornament Materials Required: * White craft fun foam * Small goggle eyes * Tacky craft glue * 2 tiny pink pompoms or pink blusher * Black or red marker * Paper punch * Scissors * String * Printed snowflake pattern * Print the free smiley snowflake pattern and cut out the pattern. * Use this paper snowflake to trace the pattern onto white craft fun foam. * Make two identical patterns and cut them both out of the fun foam. * Next, place one snowflake over the other, offset so that the points of the snowflakes do not overlap. * Glue the two snowflakes together with tacky craft glue. * With the paper punch, make a hole at the top of the snowflake. * Glue on two small googly eyes (or draw your own eyes). * Glue on two small pink pompoms for cheeks. * If you don't have any pompoms, you can smudge on a very small amount of pink blush makeup as cheeks, or color lightly with pink paint or crayon. * Finish your Smiley Snowflake Christmas Ornament by using a black or red marker to draw on a smile. * If you wish, you could also dust on white glitter for added sparkle For more info please log on to our website http://www.christmascarnivals.com # # # It’s time to sing Christmas carols and celebrate the birth of Lord Jesus.
