A 2005 study by the Microsoft Corporation, the Microsoft Office Personal Productivity Challenge (PPC), showed that while U.S. workers spent 45 hours per week working, over 16 of those weekly hours are considered unproductive. Of those 45 hours each week, survey respondents spent 5.5 hours in meetings and 71% of respondents feel that their meetings aren’t productive at all. While the study was conducted 5 years ago, not much has changed in the way that most people view the workplace. The most common problems with workplace productivity include unclear priorities, lack of team communication, ineffective meetings, and procrastination.
Project Management Reinvented, a Tampa based project management training company, is addressing these issues and more with a four part workshop series titled “More Than a Project Manager” dedicated to improving project management skills for anyone currently in an office, administrative, or management position. The August 21st event, More than a Meeting, is designed to help project managers and others to learn about conducting meetings in a way that facilitates the innovation process, encourages group input, and produces actionable results.
The event series will be held at The Pavilion Clubhouse in Tampa and tickets are still available. The cost is only $65 per workshop for the first four-part series. The More Than a Project Manager series consists of four parts. The August 21st event, More than a Meeting, is designed to help project managers and others to learn about conducting meetings in a way that facilitates the innovation process, encourages group input, and produces actionable results. The official dates for the event are:
• More Than a Meeting
• More Than a Certificate
• More Than Minutes

While the event is designed for project managers, all executives and administrative professionals are invited to attend.
