By: Los Angeles Youth Network Cutting the ribbon and officially opening the house will be representatives from Gensler Architecture and Design and Mata Construction, who assisted and facilitated the donation of more than $50,000 in labor and materials to make the renovation possible. The Taft location is one of three shelter facilities operated by the Los Angeles Youth Network. LAYN serves homeless youth in Hollywood between the ages of 12-17 and offers counseling, case management, enrichment and street outreach to youth and their families. # # # Founded in 1984, The Los Angeles Youth Network (LAYN) is a California non-profit organization whose mission is to end homelessness one kid at a time, by providing shelter, food and counseling for the abused, neglected and abandoned.
