Aug. 14, 2010 - PRLog -- Eagle, Colorado. Second Chance with Saving Grace (SCwSG), a leading International non-profit organization dedicated to environmental stewardship and helping people and animals, is proud to partner with, Shaklee Corporation, the leading natural nutrition company in the world. They are launching their nationwide campaign to promote healthy environments for children and families, generate economic support, raise awareness of health issues and provide education about the simple, wise choices everyone can make to create a cleaner, greener, and safer home and planet. Together they will transform even more lives with help and hope.

This USA tour comes at a time when the economic crisis is growing. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, more than 2.6 million people in the US have lost their jobs. SCwSG offers a message of hope, a place for people to volunteer their gifts and talents and find purpose during job searches. Now, through SCwSG’s partnership with Shaklee, those who join their team can pursue an entrepreneurial opportunity to supplement earnings with part-time income that can develop into full-time income.

"Shaklee has actually grown during the past seven economic downturns. Our economic growth, combined with products that make people and the planet healthier, make Shaklee a powerful force for good," says Shaklee Corporation CEO Roger Barnett. "Families are struggling to make ends meet in this difficult economy. While so many others are cutting back, our company creates new entrepreneurial opportunities to give people the potential to thrive even during difficult economic times.” Founded 50-plus years ago, Shaklee provides premium-quality natural nutrition products, personal care products, environmentally friendly household products, and state-of-the-art air and water treatment systems. Shaklee has more than 750,000 Members and Distributors worldwide and operates in the U.S., Mexico, Canada, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan, and China.

"Our non-profit organization is doing well by doing good," says Dr. Diane Dike, Founder and President of SCwSG. "We empower people to live healthier, happier, more productive lives while taking care of their families, pets, and the planet. When we work together everyone wins and who doesn’t like being a winner?" Dike is an award-winning Author, Speaker, Singer, and Rare Blood Disease Survivor/Warrior. She overcame tremendous obstacles and found a second chance with life and love. She moved to Vail, Colorado in 1997 and married Paul Dike, in 1998. They created Second Chance with Saving Grace after rescuing an abandoned, broken Italian Greyhound. Diane named her Gracie and trained her to be her Service dog and now they go where no woman and dog have gone before. With Dike’s precarious health it would be best for her to stay home, safe in bed limiting the variables that can take her life and limbs. But, Dike is not going to let what she can’t do keep her from doing what she CAN! Even though she pays a high price living and giving, she is committed to both. She is strong and courageous inspiring all around her to do the same. “I’ve got a brand-new life and everything to live for. The doctors told me NOT to go to Colorado. But I said, ‘I’d rather die living than die dying.’ Statistics show that ten out of ten people will die. So I live each day as if it could be my last. It helps me forgive quicker, worship God free-er, speak sweeter, and live without regrets. Helping others is the passion that wakes me up and the peace that brings me sleep.” “Diane is a breath of fresh air,” says Keith Weber, Shaklee Distributor. “She’s energetic, blazing with holiness and we are thankful to have her on our team!”

In May, Diane learned that Kendra Creeks's extremities were being amputated when they turned black. Her mind-boggling ordeal started with a headache, visit to the emergency room and being hospitalized for bacterial meningitis. Kendra wasn’t expected to make it but she did! “She was saved for a purpose so we are going to prepare her to be a motivational speaker for SCwSG and support her as a Shaklee Distributor.” Kendra's story is especially moving to Diane who was only 23 when her legs turned black and were almost amputated. Dike’s compelling medical story aired on Mystery Diagnosis TV, "The Woman Whose Legs Turned Black". Upon hearing about Kendra’s needs, Diane set up the Kendra Creek Medical Fund at the First Bank in Eagle, Colorado and has worked tirelessly to raise funds to buy Kendra new arms and legs.
