NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE AND CERTIFIED NONPROFIT CONSULTANT TO HOST CONSULTANT’S CONFERENCE AT COLUMBIA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY, COLUMBIA, SC AUGUST 10-11, 2010

Columbia, SC – August 2, 2010 – The National Development Institute (NDI) and Certified Nonprofit Consultant (CNC) bring their collective world-renowned consulting strategies for success in the nonprofit sector to Columbia on August 10-11. The Consultant’s Conference is open to any and all nonprofit professionals, board members, executive directors and others eager to take their expertise and experience to the next level in the service of others and to move closer to securing their own consulting credentials.

Held on the Columbia International University campus, the two-day conference boasts an impressive faculty of James P. LaRose, CFRE, CNC (Founder, NDI), Sandy Morckel, CFRE, CNC (President, Development Systems International), Bob MacConnell (President, National Development Institute), Herb Baily, CFRE (President, PAX Global) and Keith Marion, BM, MED (Senior VP for Development and Operations, Columbia International University).

Conference participants will receive the tools and training to secure paying clients, to ensure longevity of client service, to receive credits towards their own Certified Nonprofit Consultant credentialing and how launch their own consulting firm within weeks. The conference curriculum, designed to benefit both the brand new and seasoned consultant, includes the following courses: “The Seven Non-Negotiables of Consulting Success,” “Critical Dos and Don’ts When Consulting With Nonprofits,” “Every Thing I Need To Know I Learned from SuperConsulting,” and “Anatomy of a Perfect Marketing Call,” among others.

The goal of the event reflects that of the purpose of NDI and its Founder, Jimmy LaRose—to “transform nonprofit executives tasked with advancing their mission in a tumultuous 21st Century economy.” Through samples, tools and other tangible strategic ideas, attendees will walk away with a wealth of knowledge and with credits applicable to the CNC certification.

Participants will also benefit from the extensive network of other companies, event sponsors and products within the Jimmy LaRose brand, including PAX Global, Development Systems International and FIRMware. With a long, successful history of nonprofit consultants and fundraising professionals, NDI is undoubtedly the leader in training, preparation and support of nonprofit professionals.
