South Florida Healthcare Forum a Tremendous Success

Aug. 13, 2010 - PRLog -- Ft. Lauderdale, Florida – The South Florida Healthcare Forum was held on August 11, 2010 at the Microsoft office in Ft. Lauderdale and it was a tremendous success with an attendance of over 65 participants.  The event included the latest tools and solutions from JET Health Solutions, the healthcare division of AAJ Technologies.  After a continental breakfast, the event was kicked off with a welcome speech by Amjad Shamim, CEO & Managing Partner of AAJ Technologies, followed by Vicky Durkin, Marketing Manager, as the emcee.
There were four powerful presentations starting off with Monty Islam, Principal Solution Architect of AAJ Technologies and Steve Luper, Technical Product Manager for Microsoft.  Monty and Steve presented HealthVault Community Connect showcasing Microsoft’s latest healthcare technology for electronic health information.  Segueing seamlessly into Collaborative Technologies was Rob Aaron, Healthcare Industry Strategist for Microsoft, who presented a discussion of how healthcare organizations can leverage technologies to implement coordinated care programs to reduce both readmission rates and uncompensated care.  
Next up was Shams Zuha, Application Architect for AAJ Technologies with a presentation on the Power of Portals - how web-based portals are making it easier for physicians and employees to access more information and more people.  Following a brief break, Jim McManus, Solution Sales Manager for AAJ Technologies and Moonis Tahir, Application Architect for AAJ Technologies came up to the lectern to demonstrate the new tools to help healthcare organizations to upgrade to HIPPA 5010 transactions and migrate to the new ICD-10 code sets in time for the transition deadline.
