Corex-Honeycomb at Composites Engineering 2010

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 13, 2010 - The show commences on 29th September and will take place over two days.  Corex will be exhibiting their extensive range of aluminium honeycomb core suitable for use in a wide variety of sectors including the construction, automotive, rail, defence, marine  and aerospace industries.  

Corex Honeycomb has recently been awarded with the Certificate of Type Approval by Exova Warrington Fire on behalf of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency and the US Coastguard.  This means that Corex Honeycomb is MCA Certified for use on board vessels in both EU and US waters.  

Corex Managing Director, Dr. Mike Ashmead, said “ I am thrilled that Corex Honeycomb has achieved MCA certification. This reflects very well against our team who have worked extremely hard for this and highlights the high level of quality control which takes place throughout all stages of order production.  The Fire Certification will allow us to enter new markets within the marine sector and we are looking forward to expanding our business in this area.”

Prior to the Composites Engineering Show, Corex Honeycomb will also be exhibiting at Composites Europe in Essen on September 14-16th.
