Sip, Stroll, and Savor the Sounds at The 3rd Annual Wine Affair!

The Wine Affair returns to Town Center Drive in Santa Clarita this October 17th. Sip, Stroll, and Savor the sounds of great wine, wonderful food, and live music.

Aug. 14, 2010 - PRLog -- With eleven venues to choose from, the Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley’s 3rd Annual Wine Affair is sure to be “the place to be” on Sunday, October 17 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., as you “Sip, Stroll and Savor the Sounds” along Town Center Drive in the Westfield Valencia Town Center. Confirmed participants include: Salt Creek Grille, Lee’s Wine Bistro, The Vines Restaurant, South Point Grill, Pottery Barn, Carlton Hair International, Valencia Wine Company, Glen Ivy Spa, Ro’Ma, La Via Bella and Sisley.  In addition, Vino 100 Valencia, TGIC Importers, Inc., Malibu Family Wines and DiMaggio Washington will pour at designated locations. Mojito Cuban Cuisine will provide food at Valencia Wine Company. Each venue features wine tasting, food and musical entertainment.  Music ranges from DJ Lee spinning tunes at Lee’s Bistro to Stupid Pony, sultry vocals of Lindsay Hough, Latin sounds of Ino Alvarez, Folksy sounds of Blue Sky, Acoustic Guitarist Aaron Wong, Soft Rock of Jim Shrier, Rock and Country with Fahr.west and the styling’s of Nicki Bente.
"Not only do we have more venues this year, we have also added something more for our sponsors", said Jo Ann Vindigni, who is Chairing the event along with co-chairs Tamra Levine, Sheryl Geraci, Dora Zavala, Darlene Gandara, Shelley Hann, Tora Brown and Pam Capistrano.  A VIP Reception and “Top Chef of SCV” event will be held at the home of Shelley and G. Marshall Hann on Friday, October 15, 2010 at 6:30pm exclusively for sponsors.
This promises to be an exciting battle to name the  “Top Chef of SCV”.  Participating Chefs are: Hyatt Valencia Sous Chef Rolf Rothen, Robinson Ranch Sous Chef Johnny Kolouch, Celebrity Chef David Lawrence, Barcelona Executive Chef and Owner Dominic Lahmidi and TPC Executive Chef Daniel Otto.  Their creations will be paired with wine from the Private Cellars of Robert Schwartz, John Geraci, Chip Sterndale and TGIC Importers Inc.
Title Sponsor Robert Gandara of Secure Horizons is delighted participate again this year. A portion of the day's proceeds will benefit organizations that support Women’s Health in the Santa Clarita Valley. Event tickets are available for $40 in advance; $50 the day of the event.
