Aug. 12, 2010 - PRLog -- It's that time of the year again, when decisions need to be made. Students are securing a place at University, hoping to make the grades, or if things don't go to plan then other routes have to be considered. Global Vision International (GVI) has several options in the volunteer and intern abroad fields.

Taking time out can incorporate practical solutions to meet personal and professional aspirations, providing a viable alternative to heading straight off to University, or into the workplace. In the long term these choices can improve employability, and add vital extra experience to a CV.

Learn Spanish in Peru, train as a field guide in South Africa, gain a BTEC in Biological Survey Techniques in the Caribbean Sea or get a TEFL qualification in Thailand - just a few of the options out there from GVI.

Volunteers working on projects like these gain valuable life experience, improve their knowledge base and learn new skills on critical conservation and humanitarian projects worldwide. Taking a short or long term break can combine career development, training and qualifications, while having the experience of a lifetime, and making a difference on critical conservation and community projects.

The GVI website www.gvi.co.uk holds a wealth of information to begin planning the next steps. With over 150 volunteer placements, internships, training, and career development opportunities in 40 countries, as well as practical information, the site is a great resource. Short videos in the media centre and at www.youtube.com/gvitube bring to life what could be your new adventure overseas.
