Local Teenage Entrepreneurs Open Cleveland’s Newest Haunted House, For Charity
The FEAR Experience LLC is Cleveland’s newest haunted attraction, which supports
a charitable organization. This October, FEAR will be located in North Olmstead, Ohio
inside the Soccer Sportsplex at 31515 Lorain Rd. It will open for business on Friday
October 1st at 7pm and will open on all Fridays & Saturdays during October from 7pm
to midnight. Tickets will be $12 for general admission and $15 for a VIP ticket, which
features front of the line access and some free stuff from their sponsors. The attraction
features 2 houses designed by experienced professionals. Inside the first house, guests
will face their biggest fears with thrilling scenes, spine-chilling scares, and horrifying
creatures. The second house features the most gruesome asylum this world may ever
see.
The company has been partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Ohio,
Kentucky & Indiana for the past year. They’ve been able to give this charity thousands
of dollars in support of their mission to help grant wishes and dreams to children with
life-threatening medical conditions. Aside from donating their net profits to charity, they
still make sure we create over-the-top scares and horrifying thrills to bring their guests
the biggest chills while experiencing many of their worst fears.
The attraction is set up and ran by two teenagers. Cousins Nick Francis, 18 of Sylvania,
Ohio and Max Simon, 15 of Strongsville, Ohio, lead a crew of 40 friends and family to
create the scares. Nick, a freshman at the Ohio State University, and Max, a sophomore
at St. Ignatius High School, have been building haunted houses, prior to last year, in
Nick’s back yard in Sylvania, outside of Toledo. They had dreams of once building a
commercial haunted attraction and made those dreams happen last year in Toledo.
They, along with their crew of family and friends, opened Hell’s Gate Haunted Attraction
during the month of October and had a very successful haunt season. The success
allowed the company to donate thousands of dollars to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Their dreams continued to build and they decided to make the move to Cleveland, Ohio to step into a bigger haunted house market for the 2010 haunt season. Pre-sale tickets
